Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
Everyone working for or visiting our Facilities has a responsibility to understand and implement this policy and procedure at all times.
Everyone at Second Steps has a right to feel safe, secure and be protected from harm.
How we safeguard?
Using the information we receive—especially when concerns are raised—to assess potential risks to the people using our services.
Referring any concerns for further investigation when necessary.
Carrying out inspections, speaking directly with those who use our services to identify possible safeguarding issues.
Publishing our safeguarding findings through our reports and written materials.
Working closely with partners such as the police, local authorities, health agencies, other regulators, and government departments.
Participating in multi-agency safeguarding inspections to gain a comprehensive understanding of people’s experiences and how effectively they are being protected.
